I created the Ultra-Mod Web Parade of Way-Cool Marine Mammals in 1996 to show how online storytellers could combine motion graphics and audio files to enhance the visitor's experience. This page won a bronze award in the 1996 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Awards competition and an honorable mention in the 1999 Association of Educators of Journalism and Mass Communications Web Design Competition. It seems outdated now, but it's one of the web's truly pioneering sites. |

Campaign '96 is a showcase of my theories on online presentation design and also of the work of students in one of my JOUR 410 Photojournalism I classes. This site was featured in one of my journal articles and represented an innovative new use of JavaScript to control both the layout of the gallery as well as the user interface. |
